You are here: Home Next  About Me
My name is Ifeatu Osegbo Kenechukwu. Nigerian – Ogidi in Anambra State, Nigeria is my home town.
I started my education at 5. Later on, the family moved from Enugu (town) to my home town (village). I eventually continued my education there until I finished my primary education.

Those early years, I must confess was a lot of fun for me. I hunted bush rats, snails, and other wild animals with my friends and cousins (Azuka Osegbo, who was the leader of our hunting group, is now happily married to her hubby with a daughter.)

The village school those days was something else. I really learnt a lot there and I bet you we had better teachers than those in town and big cities. They did not only teach us to pass our exams but also, to become morally and socially responsible.
The village life was fun and I say again, it was fun.

I eventually got admission to the Boys Secondary School in my town, Ogidi Boys as it was fondly called and eventually left for St. Charles Special Science School Onitsha and then to New Era Model Secondary School, Nnewi.
I finished secondary school at 17 and entered the university at the age of 18 and eventually graduated at 21.
Although I initially nursed an ambition to become a Pharmacist for a long time (someone prophesied that to me), I had to change in my plans in my final year in secondary school to Medicine and eventually to Computer Sciences.

I had fun studying Computer at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University. I found myself in a position that helped me to take discussion that affected my classmates and that was fun as I was the Class Representative from my second year to final year and my lecturers eventually appointed me the President of the Computer Science students in the school then.

Then in the university, going to conferences and other outing in the Computer Science World helped me to learn more and understand what will be expected of me after my university education. My favourite programming language then was (and is still) Java. I also had a flare for Oracle Database.
I also had another Student Industrial Work Experience at NIIT in Port Harcourt and all these helped me to a great extent in my career. On one of those University Conferences at the University of Ile Ife was where I met Mr. Chinenye Mba-Uzoukwu who eventually employed me and became my mentor.
After, my University, I had to do a compulsory one year mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) which is mandatory for every Nigerian graduate.

The NYSC was a unique experience. I was posted to Cross Rivers State and eventually deployed to Ogoja (the Land flowing with Milk and Honey). I served there and glory to God, some us were honoured with the State Chairman’s Award.
I had to move down to Lagos to continue with my boss and mentor, Mr. Chinenye.
I have had it nice since then, have worked with Microsoft Technologies and Sun’s as well, I decided it was time to go back to school for a post graduate degree
So, I am now a student at the Azikiwe University Awka and work for myself . . .
